COCLIA represents nearly twenty years of collaboration and reflects the diverse specialty of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery that continues to grow and expand. Now in its 4th iteration, COCLIA continues to be well received by residents and faculty and is an effective and fun way to learn otolaryngology. With the instrumental help of Dr. Christine DeMason, this next iteration has been expanded to include greater clinical depth and enhanced learning with new questions, updated references, and images.
I gratefully acknowledge the many people who have contributed to the content and design of this program over the years. First among them is Dr. Sheri Slezak. She had developed a similar resident education program and allowed us to extrapolate her concepts and teaching tool to otolaryngology. This curriculum would also not have been possible without the contributions and insightful suggestions of residents and faculty from numerous academic programs and societies. The dedicated contributions of the AAO-HNSF Education Committee members over the years who have volunteered their time, expertise, and resources towards the growth and improvement of this program is greatly appreciated.
Finally, I thank the AAO-HNSF for continuing to support our efforts to provide innovative education tools and resources to support our residents to be successful in their training.
